After 7 years on my old rig, I finally have my new battlestation fully operational! And man.. this is easily the biggest PC upgrade I've ever enjoyed, heh. Old: i5-3570k, EVGA GTX 770 SC, 16 gb DDR3-1336, SATA SSD New: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/6wYH99 I don't usually bother much with benchmarks, but 3DMark was like $4 on steam not long ago, so it was fun comparing the two machines. Old beast: 6757 in Firestrike (not "valid" due to some settings tweaks) New rig: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/13181628 (overclocked the 5700 XT some for that run, made it REALLY toasty, peaked at 107°C, not actually going to run it that hard in games) Gotta say, the difference in how Star Citizen looks is absurd, lol. The old machine I had to run at almost the lowest settings. Now I think everything is pretty much maxed out in 1080p (monitor limit). And thanks to a bunch of awesome work that the folks of the Linux User Group org have done, I can even see the verse completely within linux. Super happy with that. I also really like the almost sparse look in the case (not counting the Noctua, of course). I kinda wish there was more hardware available to fit the white theme, but it wasn't enough of a deal to make me give up performance. And really, once you put a NH-D15 in there, you're not doing a white build anymore anyways. It's big, heavy, shiny, expensive, and MIGHT let me finally kick windows to the curb completely. I couldn't be happier!
