Hurricane Ian flooded my home and everything was lost, including my gaming rig. Thankfully we had flood insurance (even when living in a no-flood zone) so we getting stuff back up slowly & rebuilding the house little be little. As it turn out, the timing seems like a silver lining to all this... I was waiting for the new Ryzen cpus with 3D that require the DDR5 motherboards to come out (expected Jan next year.. hopefully) and black friday is coming up... so its a good chance to get a nice monitor. Already have an RX6700XT vid card waiting for it. Problem is, I've not purchased one in nearly 10 years and tech has moved on so now im looking at stats im not familiar with. Advice would be appreciated! So far I THINK I should be looking for something like this: 4k monitor 144hz 40" curve (monitor I lost was 40 inch) 1ms response ...anything else I need to look for? Any particular brands?
