I have no experience with AMD, but I'm considering changing from my Intel based system (see below) to a new AMD system. Now, I don't have a ton of money, but I do want to improve upon the system I have. I know the sky is the limit on these things, but I simply can't do it. I need a modest improvement. I'm going to tell you what I have, but my question is: can I use some of the devices I currently have with a new AMD system? Current Intel System MOB - ASUS Maximus VIII Hero CPU - Intel Core i5-6600 @ 3.3GHz --- RAM - G.Skill 32GB DDR4 GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1060 6GB VRAM SSD - Samsung EVO 970 M.2 250GB Proposed AMD System MOB - ASUS Crosshair VII Hero w/Wi-Fi (also comes with Bluetooth) CPU - Ryzen 5 2600 @ 3.9GHz --- RAM - G.Skill 32GB DDR4 GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1060 6GB VRAM SSD - Samsung EVO 970 M.2 250GB Will my current RAM, GPU and SSD work on the new AMD system? Right now I'm only interested in changing the CPU, which as you know will force me to change the motherboard. Thanks in advance for your guidance.
