so i hear people saying they have reduced stutters with a good SSD, and we have Intel promoting the Optane, so i looked into it. i dont have an SSD so it is new to me. a search at newegg showed that the Optane has a significantly higher 4k random read and write over everything else, 550,00 IOPS (whatever that is) compared to 330.000 for a Samsung SSD that is roughly half the price ($200 vs $400). any advice for SSD performance vs cost would be helpful as it looks like i need to get one if i am to play.
