Got new 1tb Samsung SSD (980 m.2) and going to use official data migration tool. Any hints for Windows 10? Never use it before. https://semiconductor.samsung.com/resources/software-resources/Samsung_Data_Migration_Setup_4.0.0.18.exe As I got it, at first I need to use USB 3.x connection and clone system disk to new drive. And only then I can install SSD to m.2 Or which software I should use here: https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/ I'm a numb in this theme. Samsung Magician or Data Migration??? Upd: only Data Migration tool working with other manufacturers drives, and it's works with preinstalled SSD in m.2 slot. Just need to install Samsung SSD driver: https://semiconductor.samsung.com/resources/software-resources/Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3.exe The question is system installed on virtual C drive and got virtual D drive with apps on the same HDD. Am I need to choose both for cloning? Does this will create two virtual drives on SSD? Or I need to choose only system disk C? But data going to be erased after cloning and will this erased virtual D drive as well??? I don't got it. I mean after migration I'm going to use this drive as 1tb D drive, so basically I need cut and paste all files from virtual D drive before migration and after cloning of C drive and erasing HDD create new D drive and cut& paste data back on it.
