Just thought I'd post my experiences here with everyone's fps woes. I have two systems: 1. i5-6500/16Gb (2x8Gb sticks)/500Gb 960 EVO M.2 ssd/GTX1080 2. i7-6700k/32Gb (4x8Gb sticks)/1Tb 960 EVO M.2 ssd/1080Ti both systems have the same z170a based motherboard According to benchmark sights these systems should differ in performance by around 15% For days I had 60% better fps on system 2, which didn't make any sense at all to me. Eventually I started digging around in the motherboard manual. As it turned out, system one had the DIMMs in slots on and two, not making use of the dual RAM channels, and manufacturerers recommendation was to use DIMM slots 2 and 4. I changed the ram positioning, and logging both systems into the same instance, system 1 now gets ~34fps on a server with 17 people on it, while system 2 gets ~30fps with the avatars standing next to one another. Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience. It seems memory bandwidth is incredibly critical for decent fps, as well as having at least 16Gb's of it. edit: fixed typo in system 1 specs
