all this talk of particle effects and fluid dynamic (Miles water glass) made me think of the old Agea Physx PCI card that came out years ago. i did a quick search at Newegg and they still sell them https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=physx&N=-1&isNodeId=1. very few games ever made good use of this tech. i wonder if CIG could make use of it to reduce the load on the CPU when doing particle and fluid effects. $50 is a cheap price to pay for increased performance.
