Hi, First post here. So I've been incredibly eager to try Star Citizen but doubted that my rig would run it. Until an acquaintance who is really into both computers and the game told me I had a chance. So I purchased a basic ship and... It lagged pretty badly. So I was told maybe with an SSD drive it would work. I upgraded and it was better, but still lagging. Then I thought why not try a CPU upgrade. It's much better, but still too choppy for a smooth game. But it feels like I'm so close... Can you please look at my rig and tell me if I have a chance to make it work ? I know it's not the best or recent, but I'm not going to be buying a new system before next summer. And with this one, on paper, I'm supposed to meet minimum specs. So is there something I can tweak maybe in the game settings ? Here is : Windows 7 x64 Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX 6 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Rev 4.0 Bios version F3 cpu : AMD FX-8350 Vishera Black Edition Graphics : GTX-760 (Zotac) Power : Thermaltake SMART 750W SSD Samsung 850 EVO v-nand 250Go x2 HDD WD Black 1T (Model: WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0) x3 ram : 8Go The os and the game are installed on the main SSD drive. Also one last detail. I can run the flight tutorials no problem. When I go into the bay, it seems playable at first and then gets progressively more sluggish. Then I enter my ship and take off, it's choppy but not crazy unplayable. But that's with literally no action around me. Anyways, thanks for any suggestion.
