Here is what is gleaned and (IMHO) in order of preference: SSD - A must have. Spin drives will not cut it. I've seen 2TB SSDs for as low as USD $150.00. RAM - 32GB is really the minimum now. It provides the most stability. CPU - SC is still mostly CPU bound. Moving to Vulkan will help offload to the GPU but that is a slow process - which has already started. GPU - If you have anything older than a Nvidia 1060 then upgrading will help so a Nvidia RTX 3060+ should give you an improved SC experience. Remember: SC is still alpha and any hardware upgrades will not mitigate bugs and other hindrances in the application. There is no magic bullet so manage your expectations accordingly.
