So I thought maybe we should put all these threads in one place. Because I'm confused on what to do as far as performance in 3.0. My reason for posting all this, is that I don't know if anyone should be recommending builds other then the fastest dam thing you can at this point. I know things will get more stable and more optimized. But considering we are recommending builds for a game that is going to go through some major changes in the future just like 3.0. We need to at-least give caveats. First you have a developer (Clive Johnson) thread regarding network performance. (which I'm still trying to wrap my head around this) https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/50259/thread/why-is-the-graphics-pipeline-waiting-for-server-up/773513 Then you have tests with different memory configurations (ie more is better) which falls in line with some things I am seeing too and multiple other threads from reliable sources. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/4/thread/star-citizen-performance-test-ram And then you have Sitarow with a brand new 8700K overclocked to 5.0 ghz, with an optane drive and 32gb of RAM and a 1080ti. Averaging 40 FPS on a heavily populated servers which I can't touch with 1700X no matter how I configure it and nothing seems to be bottle-necked that I can see. I don't know this guy but I have been watching his videos and I doubt its some kind of Intel conspiracy. https://www.youtube.com/user/Sitarow *****************************************************
