Due to a fire I have to replace my PC earlier than anticipated. In the support pages by CIG they say to ask the community for help. So here I am. I would like to ask the community which Intel or AMD CPU I should get and why for a system which is to be used for the next 3-5 years solely for gaming. Mostly FPS games and (hopefully) most of that in SC. Also I would like to know which GFX card is recommended and why. I have no preference for Nvidia or AMD. I know there is a huge range in price for these components. I am not looking to build a monster machine, just a system that will last for 3-5 years without having to make too many concessions in quality and playability. And at the same time will have the most ‘bang for my buck’. Fyi, I am intending to install a 2TB SSD. I know that a major way to improve performance. Finally I would like to ask something more fundamental. I am intending on installing 32GB of RAM. I have noticed that there are huge differences in price here as well. Is there really a significant noticable difference between the expensive (with the fancier names) and more budget components? And does the difference in frequency also make a significant and noticeable difference? Many thanks for your time!
