Hey all, I'm currently in the middle of sale-sniping the parts for my new build, and am down to the last 4 pieces. Figured I'd see if y'all have any strong opinions about what I'm looking at for these remainders. Currently on the bench awaiting build day: Ryzen 9 3900x, 2x 1TB Corsair mp600 nvme ssd, 1TB Samsung 860 EVO Sata SSD, 64GB (2x32) G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 RAM, Fractal Design Define 7 Missing: GPU, PSU, CPU Cooler, Mobo Here's what I'm looking at for the missing bits, if you wanna recommend something else to look at, I'm all ears, cause these are stubbornly refusing to go on sale up here in Canada, lol. (I would do unspeakable things to get Microcenter to open Western Canadian locations :grimacing: ) Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus x570 Ultra OR Pro Wifi Master (whichever hits 10% off or better first) Bought the X570 Master. PSU: Corsair AX850 (kinda firm on that one, unless the AX1000 hits a bigass sale first) Bought the AX850. GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 XT (or the SE version), or Gigabyte Aorus 5700 XT (again, whatever hits a decent sale first). Fairly firm $700 CAD limit on this one, to minimize wife aggro. Bought the Nitro+. CPU Cooler: air cooling, looking at the Noctua NH-D15 mostly. Got the NH-D15. The big goal (you might have guessed) is to build something that will last me a goodly number of years with minimal upgrades. Likely to become a parent within 2 years, so new builds will be .. unlikely, for a bit. My current plan is to run Linux on the first nvme as my primary OS, and keep my gaming in there as much as possible, and let win10 occupy a dark corner of the sata SSD for things that don't want to play nice with Linux. The second mp600 is kinda superfluous really.. but in my defense, they're $75 off right now, lol.
