Hello fellow citizens. I am thinking about upgrading my pc. First of, star citizen is my main game, from time to time I look into other games but, tbh 95% of my time I spend on sc and its probably gonna stay like this. The other games are also no Truppe A high end games and I can life with not playing everything on ultra. My current rig is this: I7 8700k Gigabyte z370 32gb ram 2300mhz Gtx 1080ti From what I understand the best thing to upgrade as of right now would probably be a better Mainboard + CPU and RAM. First of I was thinking about all max and go for a ryzen 5950x on a asus crosshair viii hero. However, after thinking about it for a while and reading more into it I am not sure if going full high end on this would make to much sense since there's gonna be at least 1-3 upgrade cycles until we one day have a kinda final game. And the extra cost vs. Minimal more performance doesn't really seem to appealing for me. Therefore I was thinking more in the direction of a 5600x Do you guys have any suggestions for me if I aim for a midgcomponent upgrade? Any suggestions on Cpu, Mainboard and RAM?
