Been looking a round so far the only Ram kit made for AMD is G.Skills Flare X line. So far that Ive gathered via Google-Fu is that people have not been able to get it over 2933. I did one video where They got an 1800X with Flare X up to 3200...at 4.2 running at 80+ degrees on full water cool setup. Now we know AMD still has memory issues and are working hard to get that out. A lot of fixes sent out to Mobo's for updates and clockers seem to agree that things are getting better with every patch. Some of Flare X's overclock problems may simply be that and it will come around soon to 3200. Also AMD put this out, a while ago. Many already know this, but it seems many have not from comment sections I've seen on it. https://www.techpowerup.com/231518/amd-shares-details-on-ryzen-ddr4-memory-support-and-upcoming-am4-updates In this regard, AMD seems to have obtained good internal results with some 2933, 3200, and 3500 MT/s rated memory configurations, namely 16GB kits based on Samsung "B-die" memory chips. Potential kits that AMD has tested to pair well with Ryzen include Geil EVO X (GEX416GB3200C16DC [16-16-16-36 @ 1.35v]); G.Skill Trident Z (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR [16-18-18-36 @ 1.35v]) and the Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 (VERSION 5.39 [16-18-18-36 @ 1.35v]). Now Ive also checked out the actual press release from AMD that statment comes from, and watched a video of MSI gamers visiting AMD and their rep making that exact same point. Their top numbers come from Samsung B-Die RAMS running on ASUS RoG Crosshair VI. There is also some debate on Corsair RAMS. The Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 VERSION 5.39 [16-18-18-36 @ 1.35v] is NOT a Samsung B-Die, it's SK Hynix and will NOT clock above 2666mhz on an Asus Crosshair VI Hero on not only my board but also a friend who bought the exact same setup, the CORSAIR CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 ver4.31 16-18-18-36 @ 1.35V however IS a Samsung B-Die and will behave as expected. Caveat Emptor. To further complicate that, on the Corsair forums (and a couple other) several have said the only the Corsair C16 Samsung B's are the 3600's. All other Corsair Samsung B's are C14's. So perhaps AMD's typo wasnt the version, but the C type? https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/X370-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html#support-mem MSi lists it as Samsung, but then they don't differentiate between versions. However, ASUS does, and they specifically state V4.31 http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO_DRAM_QVL_forAMDRyzenProcessors.pdf?_ga=2.152595966.694412947.1494078028-1497509559.1493900252 Vega, so far, is expected sometime late June or July. Hopefully AMD will have their memory issue patched up and more Ryzen optimized RAM's will be available.
