I was wondering, as I building a Ryzen system, if it would be feasable to game on a W10 virtual machine from within Linux? I have read some guides and such and think I understand the concept. However, I am quite new to Linux and when it comes down to it there seems to be some modding necessary under the hood which I am wary about due to my inexperience and the possibility of screwing up something in my OS. Ideally I would like to: - Run a headless host OS (as light on resources as possible) which I can SSH into from a VM (W10 or any linux flavour) and over the local network. - Automatically start a W10 VM and get it on the screen making the headless host "invisible" at first glance. Have one GPU passed through to this (future VEGA if up to par). - Be able to launch a second W10 VM and pass through 280X for gaming on different monitor. - Give the "VEGA VM" more cores if necessary (dont mind manually changing this as required) - Be able to native boot "W10 VEGA" Is any if this even possible? With my machine? It gets complicated and over my head fast. Any advice, insight, help, answers or even interest in this concept would be awesome! https://forum.level1techs.com/t/ryzen-gpu-passthrough-setup-guide-fedora-26-windows-gaming-on-linux-level-one-techs/116959 Is one of the best guides that seems to be having the same idea at least in part.
