I'm debating between getting a 1600/2600 or a 1700/2700 for Star Citizen. From what I've gathered most other games don't benefit from the more cores of a 1700/2700 and in some cases the 1600/2600 actually is better for gaming than the more expensive 1700/2700. Does Star Citizen actually use the extra cores that a 1700/2700 has over the 1600/2600 or not? If it does, how much of a difference does it make or should I spend that money getting an new ship/upgrading a ship. NOTE: I'm using the slash to talk about the 1st gen and the second gen chips in case that is confusing to anyone. The other parts of my build are a GTX 1070, 16gb 3200mhz memory, and an ssd. UPDATE: I've seen some comments that ask/talk about how it depends on the resolution I want to play at. I have a 2560 by 1080 ultrawide monitor if that helps. UPDATE: I ended up getting a 2700x
