So we've all heard the explanation: "It's not your rig that's slow; it's the servers". Well, I used to get 15-25 FPS in 2.6.3 and today everyone with a similar rig as mine is reporting 20-30 FPS. But I'm still stuck at 5-10 FPS just like the first 3.0 patch. For me, there has been no improvement at all and still getting major lag spikes. My Rig: AMD FX8320 (8 core) Overclocked @ 3.7 GHz ASRock 970M Pro3 mobo 16 GB ram DDR3 ; 2x sticks of 8 in #1 & #3 SATA3 SSD ( O/S, StarCitizen, and PageFile is here) GTX1070 (8GB) Windows 10 (64bit) Virtual memory on SSD is set to 20GB. (Tried 16GB earlier), no difference. Furthermore: I run the game in 1080P - High Playing at lower graphics and lower detail makes no difference I've tried choosing different servers but no difference I am not running any other apps or programs in the background. I even turned off my virus protection. Symptoms: In the latest patch (679448) I always spawn 'inside' the bed, never 'on' it. Right from the start I only get 4-5 FPS As I walk down to the ASOP terminals I get 4-8 FPS If I stand still, I can usually get 10-13 FPS The Port Olisar airlock doors are always partially open with 'black' showing behind. The Port Olisar Airlock doors never open for me ('F' works but no UI prompt). Someone always has to help me out. ('F' works everywhere else) I get frequent 0.5 - 1.0 second stutters and a MAJOR 4-6 second freeze every 1-2 minutes. My memory usage never gets above 10GB (out of 16GB ram) My GPU never gets above 40'C / 45% workload My CPU never gets above 55'C / 65% workload See below screenshots for proof. Note the date, FPS, and memory usage. Note regular FPS on the left, Spike on the right. ... and getting to my ship was a slow and s-t-u-t-t-e-r-y walk ... One curious note to add: My Task manager always shows three (3x) memory instances of "RSI PTU Launcher" running. I don't know why this is happening or if this is normal. Even when I reboot, verify there's no PTU launcher running already, then launch; it gives me three RSI PTU launchers running in memory even though there's only one RSI PTU Launcher app on the desktop. If anybody has any good suggestions please reply.
