Some may have heard the news, if you haven't and are an AMD GPU 6k or 7k user buckle your seatbelts. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-23-30-afmf-tech-preview The AMD feature preview driver (the one I'm using and linked above), adds the ability to enable Fluid Motion Frames to ANY Directx 11 and 12 game in Windows 10 1809 and up, and Windows 11 21H2 and up. Other requirements, game must run exclusive full screen, and VSync must be disabled. My experience so far has been excellent. I tested by going to Loreville and Ishmael on Hurston. System Specs: CPU: AMD 5800X3D Ram: 64GB @ 3200MHz, CAS 16 GPU: (ASrock) AMD 6750xt Storage: ADATA SX8200PNP (NvME) Resolution: 3440*1440, 100Hz Results (fps is generalized or it would be a lot of ranges): Loreville went from 25fps to 50fps. Ishmael went from 42fps to 85 fps. Clouds gained some extra smoothing, reducing the noise experienced a slight amount. (my medium clouds looked closer to the high setting) ASOPs, the black bar when you scroll gets a little watery and warbl-ey(?) As far as game feel I also enabled Radeon Anti-Lag and I can't feel a difference in response time. Most likely due to the pacing of the game. I did not make it to FPS combat so it's feel from my perspective remains untested.
