- Hello there! No srsly! I just wanted to discuss some topic about Hyper Threading, and if it's worth in videogames or not. Hyperthreading, we know it's like a efficency model for the CPU to handle some proceses, to make it better for multitasking, that's the starter pack definition of HT, but i know what really is. Everyone is saying HT for videogames is not recommended, well that have logic, a game developed to use 4 cores is not running in the same way of one using 4 + 4 'fake' cores, assuming 4/8 Core/Threads. But the doubt here is this: Do HT benefit of background multitasking while playing a game, like recording a video or dealing with Windows background stuff, or then using 2 monitors and in one of them playing a video... ? The thing is, i think i can deal with more performance using HT, so im not fully secure if it benefits or not.
