A friend of mine has been trying to play SC 3.0 without much luck on his older system. It was so laggy he couldn't even get out of his room. He even said that when he would start SC up he had time to go to the store, buy some beer and drink a couple before SC was ready. So I helped him upgrade just a couple of things on his system. His system before upgrading: OS: Windows 10 (64bit) Motherboard: Asus P8H67-M (1155 motherboard) Processor: Xeon E3 1230 V2 Base frequency 3.30GHz with Turbo of 3.70GHz Memory: DDR3 8GB (2 X 4gb) 1333MHz Storage: Samsung 7200rpm Hard Drive Graphics Card: Galaxy GTX 670 2GB The only things I added: Memory: 8gb (2 X 4gb) sticks for a total of 16GB (4 X 4gb) 1333MHz Storage: Samsung 128GB ssd ( used but free, wiped then checked with CrystalDisk - good ) I had him uninstall SC from his HD and install SC to the ssd. The first thing he noticed was how fast the game started up (no more beer runs). He had no trouble walking around and took his aurora out for some fly time. He could only try it for about 45 minutes, but had no problems during it. I don't know how busy the server was as it was Sunday morning, but he was very happy with the results. Now I'd like to see what his FPS is during his gaming, Plus I'd like to see what my FPS is too. How do I view FPS during game play?
