Not sure how to explain this, but I'm trying to run SC on my laptop while travelling for work. It's an ASUS ProArt Px13, with a 4070, 32GB Ram, and an AMD R9 HX370 SCU. Not setting the world on fire, but it should be plenty to run SC at an OK rate. And I'm getting around 40-60 fps in cities, which is fine, however there is a weird lag/stuttering that I cannot for the life of me get rid of no matter what settings I change. It's like the whole game slows down and speeds up when I'm running. My character slows down, then speeds up, but it happens smoothly like a kind of time dilation effect. Really really strange. Any suggestions for stuff I can look at / change? I've tried running at 1080p, and at the native 2880x1800 with DLSS to Performance. Both give the same performance, oddly enough. "High" settings with a few things on medium seems to get the best FPS. Edit: As a comparison, the other badly optimised game I play, Ark Survival Ascended, runs at roughly the same framerate of 40-60 fps depending on what I'm doing, but it does not have the stuttering issue.
