Before I get roasted, I would like to note that I did search the other threads and came up empty-handed. I am trying my best to learn. Skip this part if you want, it's just back story I joined the Star Citizen community back in June of 2015 after hearing about it. Back then, the game was riddled with bugs, but still enjoyable, atleast for those of you talented enough to play PC games using KB&M or even more, flight sticks. However, I was never any good at KB&M for any PC games and chose to stick with a trusty Xbox Elite Controller. There are significant drawbacks to using that input method compared to the other two. Needless to say, I gave up until something changed. 10 years later, Star Citizen has changed dramatically from what I have seen so far. I can't say the same about me and my skillset, as I still have yet to learn KB&M. However, I decided to commit and purchase the SOL-R2 HOSAS Flight Sticks and break away from the controller as much as possible. All of that being said, I am still a brand-new player in Star Citizen. I've managed to get out of the hangar (alive) maybe 3 times, ever. I only have one ship to my name, and that is the Aegis Dynamics GLADIUS. After playing SC with my Xbox controller for a few weeks, I have learned that it was time to invest in some flight sticks, which will arrive later today. I also have learned through other threads here that using someone else's profile probably isn't my best bet to get an amazing experience in-game. I need to make one tailored to me, which is fine. I can say I have learned how to do that in the settings, so I can attempt to customize controls for my Xbox Controller. However, these are the first flight sticks I have ever known and have no idea what I am doing or how to even get basic keybindings assigned or any of that. To say that I need every bit of help customizing these new sticks would be a huge understatement. Once they are set up and installed, I do plan on loading into Arena Commander to test this stuff out, but if anyone has suggestions for even the most basic of controls that should be "common knowledge," share them here. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to help, even in the slightest way. With any luck, maybe I will see you out flying someday!
