4.2 QoL Update Download the profile here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RmHzB1YNXsf4QhHkUJ8NKJcfcnImCVUm/view?usp=sharing Hi again! It's been a minute, but just wanted to check in on the Profile for the VelocityOne Yoke and seems to still work pretty good. I did do some minor QoL improvements (including adding MFD bindings with the Left "POV" Hat) but feel free to take a look at the XML file provided above. With the MFD's however, I'm a little disappointed in the binding options as you aren't able to interact as much as I'd like with the MFD's without the use of the mouse. But for now, you're only able to change screens between different MFD's with Left "POV" Hat. Unless CIG does another drastic change with the flight model, I think this profile is in a pretty good place for now. I'm thinking of selling my current VelocityOne Yoke to help fund the upcoming Virpil Constellation Yoke (which I plan to do a profile for when that comes out), but their most recent update is showing an end of Q3 (possibly Q4) release later this year, so who knows... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. But until then, feel free to test out the profile and have fun in the Verse! 3.23.3 HOTFIX Download the profile here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HGNsOsX59Ymu5a9jH-L-jTb1EivwBxp5/view?usp=sharing I'm back after a short break. So it turns out that adding the new MFD's in 3.23.2 broke some bindings. This hotfix addresses two things: 1. Right Hat (Up and Down) now can cycle between weapons. 2. Right Bumper (Button 5) now can activate Precision Mode. Tap to activate, Hold to zoom. As of now however, the Left POV hat that used to manage power is completely useless now since the Power Triangle is now gone. I've tried messing with the MFD settings to see if I can control Power Management with the left POV hat. But at the moment, there's no way to control Power Management with the Left POV hat. Hopefully though this hotfix should be good until 4.0 comes out and I can start messing with MFD settings. Original Post So I recently got a Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight yoke and wanted to make a yoke profile for Star Citizen. For those that have a VelocityOne Flight, please feel free to try it out and leave some feedback. Enjoy! Instructions 1. Download the XML file named "Mootkin's VelocityOne Flight ENHANCED 3.23.3". 2. Drop the XML file into the game files: (Your Drive):\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\LIVE\USER\Client\0\Controls\Mappings 3. Make sure the most recent firmware is downloaded as well as selecting "PC Legacy 1" in on the Yoke display. 4. Launch the game, switch to your HOTAS/Joystick keybindings in the settings and load the "VelocityOne Flight" profile under Joystick. 5. Have Fun :slightly_smiling_face: Q&A: Q: Wait, doesn't Turtle Beach have their own Profile? A: On Turtle Beach's support website, they do provide their own profile for the VelocityOne Flight (https://support.turtlebeach.com/s/article/VelocityOne-Flight-Control-Configuration-Guide-For-Star-Citizen-On-PC?language=en_US) However... it's completely broken and half of the bindings doesn't make sense. So I fixed it. Q: A Yoke on Star Citizen??? Why? A: Cause I can :slightly_smiling_face: Q: Why would I use a Yoke in Star Citizen? A: More for preference really. I for example plan to use the yoke for Hull-C & Trading gameplay once that's fleshed out more in 3.23. But because yokes are generally designed for slow, subtle, and precise movements, yokes in Star Citizen are ideally used for Cargo ships, Large Frigates, and some occasionally Touring here and there. I would not recommend dogfighting in this. Q: Are there even ships that have yokes? A: Yes. MISC: Freelancer series, Hull series, Starfarer, and now the Starlancer series! Origin: 100i series, 300i series, 85x Crusader: Spirit & Hercules series, MSR, and now the Intrepid! Drake: Caterpillar Argo: MPUV series Q: Can this also work for a Honeycomb/Logitech yoke? A: I personally don't own a Honeycomb or Logitech yoke, but in theory, you could use either in Star Citizen using a similar scheme that I've created. Just know you are having to deal with fewer buttons on the yoke. I picked the Turtle Beach yoke however for its all-in-one package as well as more options for programmable buttons. Q: Does the SIP Panel/Indicator also work for Star Citizen? A: It does not sadly. With the SIPConnect program they have for Windows, I wasn't able to create a profile for Star Citizen since PC only supports profiles for MSFS, XPlane 11/12, and Elite Dangerous. I've sent a ticket to Turtle Beach for inquiry to see if they might add Star Citizen as a supported game. Q: Hey, that yoke kinda looks like a steering wheel as well. Can I...drive with it? A: Yep. The binding also supports ground vehicles as well. This would include vehicles such as the PTV/STV, Cyclone, Lynx/Ursa, Spartan, and so on.
