Yes I'm being hopeful. In this video on youtube from "Graphically Challenged" he talks about an upcoming ASIC machine for mining that could be as powerful as 32 RTX 3080 cards was just revealed. This could steer miners away from buying up graphic cards thus ending the shortage and bringing prices down to msrp or even less.
