Hello all. I've been considering an upgrade so that I might run SC more smoothly at 4k. Right now I get 20-30 FPS depending where I am, and a good bit of stuttering. I'd like to achieve a reliable 30+ FPS with no stutters. This is my system now: Ryzen 7 3700x Asrock b450 Pro4 MB Cooler Master ml120 AIO water cooler 64GB generic DDR4-3200 Asus TUF 3060ti Samsung 980 1TB NVME SSD Windows 11 Home SeaSonic 850w PSU If I reduce resolution to 1080p, I get a very nice framerate, but I crave that high resolution, especially since I like to run in borderless mode. I've tried the NVidia upscaling and its just kinda janky, so if possible, I'd like to run at 4k native. I've watched task manager while playing, and my CPU basically pegs at 100%, whilst my GPU hovers around 80-90%, so i expect that it's the CPU which is the weak link, though the GPU probably isn't terribly far behind. I know the 3060ti is meant to be a 1080p card mostly. What I was considering was a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and a bit after that when i have the money, a 4070ti. My concern here, is browsing around the telemetry app, SC only rates the 5800x3d like 25 points higher than my 3700x, so I'm concerned it's not enough, and I'd hate to be back in this same situation when I eventually put in the 4070ti. I'd like to keep the upgrade as minimal as I can, if possible a CPU that will fit my existing MB, or a CPU/MB bundle that works with my RAM. Preferably still AMD. What would you guys suggest?
