I made a video improving the view out of our ships using TrackIR. This was inspired by -The_coolgui's thread 2 days ago on the "other" forum. It works with any ship, you can "raise" your head about 15-20cm and see much more of the beautiful surroundings. There is a major drawback atm, though: CIG hasn't implemented TrackIR (well) and you lose your HUD when raising your head, so no information in the top left corner about your ships health and no information in the top right corner about your target's status. I understand that TrackIR isn't high on CIGs priority list and it wouldn't be on mine at that stage of game development. However, if you don't need this HUD at the moment, I can highly recommend giving TrackIR or similar devices a try, it's great fun. Moreover, it already works well, with any ship so I wonder why don't we have this option soon? In my video I tested it with: -Cutlass -Terrapin -Reclaimer -Sabre -Sabre Raven
