Just took the plunge on a XFX Vega 64. Replaced a 295x2. Cranked the details up to max for a test of both cards. For the ol' 295x2 I was getting about 20-25 fps in universe on a 2k display. For the new Vega im currently getting 35-40 fps in the same scenario in universe. The new Vega runs arena commander and star marine at twice the speed of the 295x2. Star marine is a silky 75 fps @2k maxed out. Arena commander stable at 45fps. I'm running a stock i5 4670k @3.4 ghz, with 16gb or ram. Next upgrade is a custom water loop to keep the beast chilly and get some headroom for over clocking the CPU/GPU. I'll update this post if anyone is interested in a Vega 64 with numbers as I start to tweak and overclock the rig.
