Here's a quick rundown for anyone who has missed us so far: ► Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 Grip The VPC MongoosT-50 is a new highend joystick based on the controls found in modern Russian fighter jets - the T-50 specifically. Featuring a large range of controls including: Dual-stage Trigger Folding Trigger 5 x Buttons 3 x 4-way Hats 1 x 2-way Switch Analog Brake Lever Which makes the MongoosT-50 an incredibly versatile grip. All the buttons on the MongoosT-50 are genuine OMRON switches for excellent tactile feedback on each button press. The MongoosT-50 has direct compatibility with the TM Warthog base and retains TARGET functionaility while on the Warthog base. ► Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 LH Grip (Left Hand) The long awaited left hand grip perfectly mirrors the MongoosT-50 Standard Grip. It's a great choice for left-handed pilots or an excellent match to the MongoosT-50 Standard Grip for a symmetrical dual-stick setup for space-sims! A dual-stick MongoosT-50 setup will provide you with 2x dual stage triggers, 2x folding triggers, 10x buttons, 6x 4-way hats, 2x 2-way switches, 2x analog lever axis (plus 4x axis for the base themselves!), so you will have no shortage of controls right at your fingertips. ► Introducing the VPC MongoosT-50 Base (Prototype Photos - Retail Unit Photos Very Soon!) The VPC MongoosT-50 Base is a whole new beast compared to other bases available today. Constructed from aircraft-grade Duralumin, the mechanism is incredibly robust without being unnecessarily heavy. Each axis is completely separated and controls it's own, independent, centered cam arm (which avoids quirks found in other joystick gimbals where the cam loading is located to the side). Each axis has it’s own cam, roller bearing and compression spring which provides completely separated axis loading forces. The movement of each axis is determined by the combination of cam and compression spring used. Each cam and compression spring can be individually replaced and adjusted to achieve your desired feel. Included are 3 spring types (light, medium and heavy) and 3 cam profiles (hard center, soft center, no center). Spring tension can be further fine-tuned individually on the fly (literally!) without disassembly by the adjustment holes on the top panel. High levels of accuracy are provided by the VPC Controller and VPC Contactless Digital Proximity Sensors (based on GMR technology). Offering a total of 5,000 steps across the stick's travel, movements as small as 0.006º are detected. VPC-Config software allows you to take your VPC gear to the next level, allowing you to change calibration settings, response curves, button mapping, mode profiles and more. The MongoosT-50 Base isn't designed as a space saving desktop stick, it has been designed from the ground up to provide the best experience possible as a professional flightstick in simpit settings. Ideally with the VPC Desk Mount. Of course this is only the beginning for VirPil Controls. We first announced ourselves publicly at the start of the year and in 5 short months we have a large selection of products available. But we aren't stopping here, the whole VPC team are working around the clock and our future contains incredibly exciting announcements.
