I searched and searched on the web but couldn't find actual Star Citizen test benchmarks, let alone any other non-synthetic gaming benchmarks with the 900P. I find this very weird. I'd assume comparative figures would be all over the place by now. I made a thread a while ago with a collection of 2.6.3 load times, so at least based on that we could compare: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/tell-me-your-pu-load-times Soon we won't be able to test that with 2.6.3 anymore to get some results with older code. But also so many other games would be useful. Stuff like direct comparison of the Optane with the Samsung Pro nvme of equal size /price. Also, CIG said they optimized the code to make use of Optane, but AFAUI it looks more like they could optimize the code to work well with regular SSDs (through queuing and such) and that the Optane with its low latency would excel with UNoptimized code. Wouldn't optimized game code simply bridge that IOPS gap? CIG also said they're optimizing the code for HDD, so it sounds like they simply didn't want to point that out openly in context to the Optane marketing.
