I'm building a new rig for gaming, but will use it primarily to play Star citizen. I am stuck between AMD Ryzan 7 1700x 8 core and the intel i7 7700k quad core. I hear rumors that AMD's tend to run hot and have a shorter life span. Any help appreciated. First time building a custom rig.
