I have a high end PC build (i9 12900k, RTX 4090, 32 gigs 6000mhz DDR5 RAM), and when I upgraded to the 12900k from an 8700k a few years ago, my framerate actually got WORSE. I quickly learned that this was because the 12900k uses E Cores, which star citizen can't utilize properly, and disabling them manually made my FPS go from around 20-30 in Arena Commander to 70-120. I thought that this was really stupid at the time, but since the 12900k and E Cores were brand new tech, I had a lot of people telling me that I was paying the "early adopter tax", and that it was my fault for being on the bleeding edge. Well now my 12900k is two years and two generations behind, so that excuse is moot. WHY in the CURRENT YEAR OF OUR LORD 2023 am I still required to manually disable E Cores in order to get a decent frame rate in Star Citizen? Why can't CIG get SC to utilize E cores like every other game I've ever played? Or if they can't, make the game disable them automatically so that I don't have to do it myself? Am I missing something? I have to assume that a lot of other people have CPUs as new or newer than me at this point, so why is this not being talked about, let alone fixed?
