I'm torn. I cant decide what i should get. I know the X52 has a better button layout on the stick, but the X56 has a dual throttle more buttons, and it has analogue sticks for space sims. X56 V2 reads as follow on logitech.com: "The updated X56 features a stealthy new black and gray finish in addition to engineering enhancements that address feedback from the community." We can only hope that the issues Saitek left that stick is sorted out on the V2. So here i am torn between the X52 and the X56 V2. Or the 3rd option wait for SC to become closer to a finished product, too see what the market holds then. X52 pro's: Better button layout on the stick. Dual stage trigger. Known to be better quality than the X56. More buttons on the stick itself. Safety flip over what could be missiles/torpedoes/Bombs. adjustable hand rest. X52 cons: Fewer buttons than the X56 (A lot fewer). Single throttle. A screen that does... Nada (gimmick, should have been more buttons instead). No analogue sticks for 4 dimensional movement. X56 Pro's: Lots of buttons. Dual throttle. Analogue sticks for easy strafe (up, down, left, right, forward and backwards). Interchangeable springs (stiffness of stick no pun intended). No gimmicky screen that shows the time VR support (pun indeed intended) X56 Cons: Bad build quality (At least the Saitek version). Bad button layout on the stick (too much hats not enough buttons, and the buttons are weirdly placed WHY!?). No adjustable hand rest. No dual stage trigger. Please add more pro's and cons if you know any. And i don't want to spend more than 250,- USD since i probably only gonna use it in SC and Arma. But a little side note, here in Norway we've got a great consumer law that extends our warranty too 5 years, and not 2 as Logitech provides. Which means if the X56 gets busted i can always get it replaced. The X56 V2 (Grey finish). The X52 Pro.
