A long time ago CIG came to PAX AU back in 2014. With a fair amount of backers from Australia, New Zealand and other countries close by I feel it is time that CIG consider coming down under so backers down here can show their support to the project. Yes I know CIG usually hold citcon near a studio to make it easier, it would be awesome to see citcon alternated between the UK, Germany, US locations and Austrailia. What I would like to see is some love to the numerous backers that quite honestly can not afford the time off work to travel or the $2-3k flights + accom for an overseas trip to citcon each year. Like me for example I would rather spend half as much on backing CIG directly than paying for the trips each year. Now it wouldn't have to be citcon exactly, but something smaller to gauge the response to see if the full citcon experience would be viable I hope would be seriously considered. To be fair I think CIG would be pleasantly surprised by the numbers of backers down here that would be keen to attend. It has been teased by Chris and Sandi through the bar citizen video they sent to the auzzie organisers that they are hoping to make it down here sometime in the near future. Could we please have some offical word on if this is still the case? Bring Citcon (or similar event) to Australia!!!!
