Hey all, I've been pushing forward a regular weekly event, hosted by The Scarlet Order, that is inclusive of other orgs and doesn't make it an org vs org bash fest. We want to build up the whole community, not just the one in our discord. After a few test runs, and taking into account the state of the game as it is now and is projected to be for the foreseeable future, this is what I came up with: The Marines vs Pirates Event is a ground fps and vehicular match battle with specific goals for each team. The Marines are a specialized opt-in restricted to orgs who can put forward a 3-5 person unit. The Marine Team is managed by SCORD's House Venandi. Marines may or may not do exercises independently of the MvP Event as their org decides. Pirates are more ragtag, and should particularly interest individuals and the more casual players of orgs. Pirates always outnumber Marines in the match. Streamers are welcome to participate in these events, but are expected to follow the same rules as everyone else. You can also express interest in being a Neutral Observer/Referee if you prefer to run support or just want to record the action without worrying about fighting. The location of these events is not announced until the setup phase to avoid party crashers. The information package for the Event: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1dcDN_yZYxTWmPJH0BNkqYIMxq7eafV_0gP2V5TYR4HI/ If your org would like to opt-in for Marines, please let me know and I'll get in touch with you to help get you started. Orgs are also encouraged to bring bodies for the Pirate team, a list of names is helpful. Pirates are the default team for participants, with little to no setup needed. Just be ready to join in when the time comes. Post here your interest and I'll confirm you as a contact. Be warned though that team balance might force some Pirates to be benched and rotated each round. The next match is planned for Saturday 6 pm pacific, 9 pm eastern. Please have your equipment and such ready before that time.
