Every April 12th there is an IRL worldwide party in celebration of humanity's accomplishments in space in the past, present and looking towards the future. This involves drinking, dancing and loud music. It was established on April 12, 2001 in honor of the first human flight to space April 12, 1961 and the first Space Shuttle flight 20 years to the day on April 12, 1981. Though other games/virtual worlds/universes have had Yuri's night parties (Second Life, Endtopia Universe) we Star Citizens had our first party in Star Citizen a year ago as an impromptu event which the AstroPub streamed on Twitch. It was a fun social event taking place at Cafe Musáin at Levski. This year we're doing a pub crawl through the 'verse on luxury ships with fighter escort to all the bars in Star Citizen. It will be filmed and documented for an in-verse themed video news report and screenshots will be posted by participants on Spectrum and Reddit. Come join us in celebration of the audaciousness of human space travel and the pioneering spirit! This years event is supported by Exile, SC Ladies Night Out, NFI and the Combine with security assistance from Zilla Dropship Forces (ZDF). (Thank you to Jade for arranging this event.)
