With the upcoming features said to come in 3.15, my mind immediately turned to what will happen to the solo Citizens out there in the verse. Personally I am THRILLED and TERRIFIED at the same time. I already know I'm going to be laid up waiting for an Org mate or local citizen to come help me back up. Emergent gameplay is what makes SC such an incredible game (among the other obvious reasons). With a sandbox this large and the feature set we will be given in 3.15 I saw a potential career path open up straight away. This got my mind working: I might have Org mates or enough friends online to get someone to come pick me up but no everyone is the same in that regard. New citizens are likely the most susceptible to this. Sure they can backspace and start over but they likely don't have much aUEC or weapons/armor to just die and allocate more. We will have some awesome new missions which really means new ways to die and I wonder if being incapped isn't going to be a new semi-norm for some. All this to say I'm thinking of starting an Org specifically to assist in search and rescue for downed players. Nothing crazy, no mega hardcore RP, just a large community built around helping folks out. I have a lot of military background and immediately started thinking of the different special operations search and rescue units out there and thought it would be cool to bring on into the 'verse. I have no idea how appealing this would be to citizens but wanted to toss it out and see who bites. My vision would be to build up an org that will grow with SC and become an exclusive group. Something like Shadow Moses. You hear about them, you know they have an impact, but you almost never know when you're talking to one until you piss them off or need their help. Now they would have their differences, sure. And i would be turning anyone away off the start, but if it were to get rolled out and start growing maybe then we start getting a little more exclusive with whos onboard. I think with the first edition of "death of a space man" coming there is going to be a real need for a group always ready to respond to the call. This sound like a good idea to you other citizens out there?
