Here are pirates, here are merchants, here are security forces. Here are massive organizations that will take on many roles, here are small organizations that have a laserbeam focus on their chosen mission. Here are organizations that have gathered around a common purpose in the game, and here are organizations that found their commonalities outside the game completely who don't even know (or care) what they intend to do. Here are organizations speaking every language, from every continent (someone go found one from Antarctica for me), from every profession, from every background. We are many. Sometimes we are friends, and sometimes we are at odds. In time, we will be allies, or we may be at war. But we needn't wait until then to begin building the bridges between us. To this end, we have been working on a project that we call Citizen5 Citizen5 is a discord server that's been created so that all organizations who chose may send their chosen diplomats. Our hope would be that every organization is represented: when the time for such things arrives, we might all have ready access to diplomats from any organization to forge alliances, solicit assistance, share helpful information, clarify misunderstandings, or declare war if needed. Here we have a location for frank exchange of views in such matters without the need for public posturing. A common channel will be used for general discussion and goofing off, while private messages can be sent or other channels created as needed for special purposes. Why are we doing this now, so far before the launch of the game? Why not? Think of it as a cultural exchange ahead of time so that we all know one another prior to launch. Imagine the headache of trying to get this going while everyone is off trying to get their bearings as the game truly begins: best to have registration and familiarity with C5 out of the way. And perhaps you register now and don't use it regularly until later? That's fine too, though we'll be leaving the system open in the meantime for camaraderie or shenanigans. To be clear ahead of time, we do feel a handful of rules are necessary: No racism, sexism, or bigotry of any sort. This includes but is not limited to racial slurs, homophobia, harassment based on gender, etc. No linking to NSFW content. Some folks will choose to use this at work, let's make that easier for them. No releasing of chatlogs without the express consent of all involved in a conversation. Diplomat organization need to be publicly visible (no redacted, no hidden). The minimum organization rank level to be granted as diplomat is 4. Type !auth <RSI Handle> in the channel to create your authentication token. Edit your RSI profile and put the token in any of the public fields. Hit !auth <RSI Handle> again and voila, you have access to #citizen5. Note: When the authentication is succeed, Citizen5 will automatically rename you with your RSI org tag and your handle for identity reasons.
