Imagine, if you will, a gang of right-wing libertarian nut jobs who live to troll the UEE while defending human colonies from stinky alien invaders and still finding the spare time to physically remove Communists. Good. You're imagining GFC in Star Citizen. The real life tale of our little band of merry lads and lassies begins years ago in another MMO. We started out as just a tiny handful of lore nerds who wanted to roleplay and geek out. Other than that, we had absolutely no idea what the hell we were doing, and we soon realized we were swimming with much bigger fish. Other guilds had us outnumbered, out geared, and definitely out skilled. And some thought we'd be easy to push around. But we were just a handful of nobodies with nothing to loose. So we doubled down with the only thing of which we had plenty: boneheaded tenacity. They would spawn camp us ceaselessly, not giving us so much as an opportunity to take any of them down with us. It was spawn, die, spawn, die, and the most you could do was try to fire off an attack or two before your health bar would evaporate; rinse and repeat. This would go on for hours and hours. Any sane players would've just given up such a pointless and humiliating fight. We weren't sane. We had nothing to loose. We simply refused to break. Hours later, it was the enemy who eventually got board of pounding us into the ground and left. After several such completely one-sided fights, we started to get a reputation on our server. We were the ABSOLUTE MADMEN who couldn't PvP worth a damn but never-the-less simply would... not... ever.. quit. And anyone who wanted a go at us would need to cancel their evening plans, because we would go all night if we had to. That reputation started to attract other misfits, and we grew in numbers. Then we started to attract some actual talent, players who actually knew how to PvP who took a liking to the raw spirit the rest of us losers clung defiantly on to. We gave them free reign to teach the rest of us how to hold our own and soon we were actually a force to be reckoned with. We actually started winning fights for a change. And it... felt... good. And of course all the while we continued roleplaying our hearts away. Roleplay and immersion is and has always been the heart and blood of GFC, but PvP became our firey soul. We always love an intense brawl. Sadly though, our former game didn't last for us. Since then we've been set adrift, keeping together as a group of gaming buddies, but otherwise lacking a single game universe to call home. But that all changes with Star Citizen. We find ourselves having come full circle: a new game with a new community where we are once again the small fry in town. This does not bother us. As always we will dare to defy, we will endure, we will grow, and we will thrive. Our presently meagre numbers are a mix of old guard from our previous game with fresh recruits from the Star Citizen community. As the game nears closer to completion and commercial release, more of our old players will pick up the game with us. Equally important is the new blood that will write the next chapter of our saga. If you want in, we can promise you that it will be one hell of a ride.
