"Science discerns the laws of nature. Industry applies them to the needs of man." The Interstellar Order of Thales takes every opportunity to advance known sciences and discover new. We will make those discoveries available to citizens of the UEE through our heavy industrial division. The improvements to life and technology that we pioneer will be made possible by both the drive of our member's passionate pursuit of industry, but also a shared excitement when diving into the unknown worlds of scientific research and discovery. We intend to break and exceed the limitations of existing science and technology with the pinnacle platform of scientific research - the Endeavor. We have 4 divisions: Industry - this is the backbone of IOOT. They will provide us with our raw resources, build bases, generate revenue to fund our research projects/missions. Security - The protective services branch of IOOT. They will provide all forms of security (patrols, ground escorts, data security/running) for the org. Diplomacy - They will work with all members (and their other orgs, if interested) and alliances that entreat with IOOT, to help resolve conflicts before they begin, work to allow members access to materials or systems to conduct their missions/projects. They will also be the face of the organization to the rest of the Galaxy and citizens of the UEE. Science & Research - this will be the heart of the org. We will embrace and support all forms of science and research (medicine, cybernetics, chemistry, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, exotic energy, astrophysics, exploring and researching new systems and jump points, overclocking of shields and energy weapons, xeno archaeology, and every other conceivable new technology, improving existing, and discovering all that the galaxy hides. In a nutshell, this will be an opportunity to connect with like-minded people who want to do things that would be difficult or impossible to do solo, or with a small group. It will also provide some diplomatic opportunity to help ensure the safety of members and their active assets.
