Assuming Co-Ops and/or non-profits existed, would your organization adopt that model? The OP is a bit long, so here's an example on a non-profit from the thread: Let's take a hypothetical Search & Rescue organization setup as a non-profit co-op. They charge their affiliates a 0.00001% monthly tax and offer free rescue. This is so ridiculously low that everyone joins up because eventually you're eventually going to need a rescue and we're talking 1 UEC per 100,000 UEC income; what a sweet bargain! In the mean time, because everyone joined as an affiliate, the S&R company is raking in billions. Members are not taxed and because they are a non-profit, at the end of the month all the profits are split among the members based on the number of org jobs they took. Those funds pay for repair; fuel, escorts into dangerous space, and a mission board that never stops which is crazy fun because they love S&R. Co-ops have shares which are exchanged for money (e.g., donations, taxes, dues) coming form the member, what a member leaves they can cash in their shares. The link above describes it in a lot more detail.
