Intro Long-time gamer seeks an Org that is organized to set players and groups up for daily success; so more hard core in that regard than casual. In all the following, emphasize reasonable and at least the basics, over rigid, overwrought, or overly detailed. Might seem a bit much, but as much time as I plan to be playing with an Org, the fit matters for everyone's sake. Does such an Org exist with these basics in place or in development or in planning? Been here since 2013, and haven't found it yet. Still hopeful. What I Seek: Active - reasonably given the stage of development, makes regular efforts to keep players engaged in game. Org with at least 50 active players or soon will achieve that number. Plans for 200-500+ active members long-term to serve community needs across careers' gameplay. Training/Guides/Standards - intends training programs for new pilots, gunners, and crew, as well as success in industrial activities. Intends to organize space and ground combat to be "better" - by things such as "playbooks" or similar protocols, "squadron tactics", and other combat "organizing principles" for consistent outcomes by Org groups and ventures; such as wingman tactics, FPS group tactics, etc. Voice Channel Structure & Coms Protocols - channels structured to suit gameplay; for breakout groups and ventures, fleets, sub groups, squadrons, etc. Coms protocols for "how we talk in combat and operations"; for groups and subgroups to work together in standardized or consistent ways, such as between Fleet level, Wing level, Squadron Level, Squadron Leader, Command, etc. or similar for FPS activities. Website/Forums - for players to easily access navigate reference material, info, calendar, etc. and carry on a discussion over time; reference info such as examples: Org Charts, Calendar Schedules, topic discussion & storming, Charter/Rules/Expectations, Division material and rosters, protocol guides, meeting materials, etc. Discord is not a substitute in this regard. Activities - players can engage in independent ventures as well as group/Org ventures in multiple areas of interest. Org Meetings - regularly scheduled to openly discuss topics, plans, brainstorming, or follow up on outstanding prior meetings subjects or tasks. Org is Accountable - transparent, and respectful among adults. Keeps dialogue open, and supports members' ongoing awareness of Org's Road Map. Walks the talk. Makes good use of routine Org meetings to address and narrow "question and discussion" time with members. "Bring it up at the next meeting," is common. Org is Effective - reasonable planning focused on in game. Delegated to allow leadership/officers to regularly play the game as fellow players - for "best connected / in touch" community and gameplay outcomes among level-headed adults. Respects and guides resources (players) and efforts, infrastructure, and programs to be directly connected to in game outcomes and success. Understands we'd rather focus and enjoy gameplay/community in the game, with successes brought about by good planning and lean focus where it matters, and that when players want to refer to resources outside the game, it's when looking for essential communications/updates, calendar/scheduling, and reference/learning material which can be found quickly, and navigated easily. For these reasons and more, a structured website with Calendar, Forums, URL Quick Links, and Voice link is much more effective. If "everything" is essentially run through Discord, my apologies, but not interested. Preferred but Not Required: Robust Charter, Plan, or other organizing documents - that clearly illustrates for members what the Org is, what it isn't, and "how we work" together to make gaming successful. Goals, practices, principles, protocols, org chart, what will be developed and sustained (road map), how it connects to a thriving player base and gameplay for Org members. When clear and comprehensive, helps prospective members find like minded communities, and helps all members alike gain readiness to gameplay success, and align to Org practices, goals, and direction. Democratic leadership structure - periodic leadership changes, voting, to allow others to step in and helm maintaining the Charter or Plan, to navigate the Plan's changes over time in context with game and community evolution and needs, to allow incumbent leaders the chance to step down and just play the game; with the community knowledge that the Org will carry on successfully. What I Bring: Longtime MMO player; from combat and hard mode raiding, to crafting at the highest levels of quality and economic outcomes. Primary interest: Org/Group activities; incl. from combat pilot, crew station, gunner, to mining, cargo, and exploration operations. Secondary interest: cargo operations, exploration, (smuggling,) and wealth building. Experienced with successful outcomes; strong business and organizing principles, planning and documenting experience, to connect the dots between current activities/plans with long-term goals, and related execution. High activity level when the game reaches maturity; many hours per week participation. High participation in general; forums, voice com, in game, groups. Flexible expectations, reasonable expectations, seek to give more than I take. Easy going, flexible, and helpful. Not a fan of banging heads against rocks; needlessly/avoidable wasted hours and ongoing defeat or failures, due to bad or no planning. Veteran gamer dedicated to group and community success. Wing Commander Level in Star Citizen; 2013. Believe it or not, easy going, but serious when it matters. Thank you for considering. Please PM me with info if the above resonates as being directionally correct with your Org. Best regards.
