Roleplay would be nice but not a necessity. A Marxist or anarchist organisation would be perfect, but something more mixed and liberal could work (a la Star Wars Rebel Alliance). I myself will not be actively playing until SC is closer to a finished state, but I'm more than happy to become part of the community and participate with social and organisational roles. I have a MSR for smuggling arms to resistance factions or aid to neglected planets, and a BMM which is collecting dust and could be swapped out for something more useful to the Org.
