While a lot of orgs are creating combat centric expeditions, we at Interstellar Exploration and Supply Inc. are going with a little different route. What do we do? Our primary missions will be in Mining and Cargo hauling. Why two? We will be set up for terrestrial and space mining. While Cargo hauling will have supply runs here or there to make extra income and for training, the primary goal of Cargo hauling is for the consistent and routine movement of mined minerals to market, along with base and outpost runs to maintain those locations. Is that it? Nope. We're also doing Security and a bit of Engineering/Exploration which this post is looking to expand into. But they're not primary missions and as such will be limited in scope. As operations increase the Security Brigade will have to expand. The Engineering will be focused on newer technologies to assist the company. For instance, better shields, reduced IR signatures or a better cutting laser for asteroids digging. Our small explorer section will focus on finding appropriate mining fields and Geo-locating mineral veins. Research facilities on planet surfaces and on ship research facilities is the goal. Furthermore, these locations will be highly sensitive with only the Research teams and a few security personnel knowing their locations. Resupplies from even the org will not go directly to locations but to assigned meet up locations for transfer. Our goal? To create a substantial, self-sustainable company early in the verse, using a systematic approach of building the right techniques at the right time, hiring the right people and investing in the right infrastructure when it's needed and appropriate.
