I have been playing with idea for quite some time and I finally got around to really thinking things through. I posted this: https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/mp4ine/i_just_spoke_at_my_best_friend_of_18_years/, on Reddit, back in April, after my best friend died in a motorcycle accident. Things were really fresh to me back then and I had an extremely hard time reading the comments. After a few months, I did go back and read all the comments and the one thing I learned is that I was not alone. There were others who had experience the same level of grief as me. That is when this idea started rolling. A month or two ago I saw this post: https://old.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/pnfhwh/ingame_memorial_for_bakersplayers_that_died_since/, on Reddit, which linked back to my post, and it took me by complete surprise that there were others that also wanted to honor their friends and family. A lot of ideas have been thrown at CIG to honor our friends, family, and org mates that have passed away and I thought I would start an advocacy group to those backers and supporters who unfortunately not see the full release of this game and a community for those who are grieving their losses. Once the ball gets rolling, there will be events you can take part of to honor those who have passed. Keep in mind though, any in game implementation of honoring those who have passed is ultimately up to CIG to finalize, and I would say that we are not entitled to it. In the meantime, I created an org: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/MOVINOMNIA, Discord: https://discord.gg/JnEXS58wWn Mors Vincit Omnia is a Latin phrase that means Death Conquers All. We chose this phrase as a sobering reminder that no one escapes death and while dealing with death is hard, we need to understand that it is better to deal with it head on. While we are not professional counselors nor are we medical professionals, we will offer support group style events and a way to memorialize those inside the game. While we don't require you to share your experiences, we do encourage you to reach out if you need help and seek professional help if you feel like it is too much for you to handle. This idea came to me a few weeks after my best friend of close to 20 years passed away unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident. We played video games non stop with each other since we were in middle school and I struggled with a lot of things after his death. I had to learn to cope with the sorrow, guilt, and many other emotions that were new to me. While I had others that were there for me, it was difficult to talk to them about such a tender subject, and sometimes it is easier to talk to and open up to strangers. See you in the 'verse o7
