:black_circle_for_record: As you may know all to well, recruiting for your org is not easy nor is it a quick process. Some of us have been around for years with only a dozen members, some like mine (Aydo Intergalactic Corporation) may have started only early this year and got to several dozen members in a relatively short time but seemed to have hit critical mass and things slowed down as a result. But, if you're reading this I assume that you want more, right? Because, if you're crazy enough like me to think that you can lead people towards a common cause, then you must have crazy dreams like me as well! Dreams of building a community of like-minded people, dreams of having engaging and fun gameplay with others that share a similar mindset, dreams of hitting it big when the game is released and making your mark on the game as a whole. Of course the specifics of those aspirations are different when it comes to each of us individually, but at the end of the day we all can say that we wish to build something. You can call it an 'investment in your entertainment future', or simply call it just grouping together people to have more fun then you could alone, but it boils down to be the same thing. :black_circle_for_record: Now, what's the point I'm trying to make? Well, how about instead of toiling alone we can come together as org leaders? What if instead of trying to do everything alone and having plans of self-sufficiency when the game launches that we could work together and focus on the gameplay niche that we most enjoy and then rely on each other to fill in the gaps? If you're a mercenary org, why are you trying to plan for logistics when most if not all of your members have no patience for that? If you're a search and rescue org, why are you trying to plan for heavy combat operations when you don't have the resources for it? If you're a cargo hauling org, why are you spending time and money on combat ships when your members would rather take it easy as a space trucker? You may start to get what I'm saying here, that...instead of this inefficient idea of self-reliance that the "blob" orgs like Nova, Test Squadron, Xplor, Atlas, etc. espouse, we can hyper-focus our orgs on a specific kind of gameplay and thrive as a result. Members will feel like they truly belong and have something special as you're not trying to do everything. Most importantly, however, is that we can bring our org communities together in operations, events, and simple interactions. This will give a truly rich experience for everyone as a whole and promote camaraderie. :black_circle_for_record: So, how would this work? Well, in the meantime we know that there are massive rises and dips in player interest from patch to patch, update to update. For example, we're currently in the 3.17 to 3.18 ebb where a lot of orgs have reduced activity because our members are simply putting time in their personal lives and/or playing other games. This is completely natural, but, what we can do is start a relatively simple thing - networking! While I represent AydoCorp, I have gathered a number of affiliates already into an org called "The Ellis Foundation", which aims to be a place where leaders of orgs join to promote healthy communication and relations with each other. Currently there isn't any separate Discord for this group, and I feel like it doesn't need one as the whole point is to facilitate being active in each other's communities. To help with that cause, please consider joining AydoCorp's Discord as a representative and choose the "affiliate" role, whereupon you will gain the "ambassador" role to show your status. As we already have more than a dozen affiliates currently, you'll have the freedom to interact with other orgs and get their contact info and Discord invites! I hope that this can help bring disparate orgs together as one, enabling us to have a bright future where we aren't going forth alone but as a team! Take care, I hope to hear from you soon! o7 :link: Ellis Foundation Org Page: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/ELLISFOUND :link: Aydo Intergalactic Corporation Discord: https://discord.gg/guJMwKVbsN :link: Aydo Intergalactic Corporation Org Page (in case you wanted to see what we're all about): https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/AYDOCORP
