At the moment I'm using a lowly gtx 950 2gb gpu, which plays all my other games well enough, but the one time I tried to Play Star Citizen with it my gpu gave me an onscreen message "NOPE, NOT DOING IT"!. Granted I did have a rx580 8gb gpu and it could play SC well enough until I could afford to upgrade, but when I found out I could sell it for 4X what I paid for it! Well I figured I could sell the rx580 and use the gains towards an upgrade when prices normalize. In the mean time I'll use the gtx 950. Sigh, it's been almost two years now and even though gpu prices have come down a little I'm wondering what the future will bring since the U.S. government printing currency like it's Monopoly money and driving inflation to new heights. I think everyone should be required to take a class on economics. So for some time now I've been entering the New Egg Product drawing and checking every day. The one day, THE ONE FREAKING DAY, I couldn't check I GOT PICKED. I was hoping to score a rtx 3060 ti as I didn't want to have to get a second mortgage to get a gpu, However; the gpu I was picked for was the "Gigabyte OC 12gb RTX 3080 at $1349.99". A price that would still cause me to gag since the msrp is $700.00 for a basic rtx 3080, or at least was. On the other hand I'm hoping that missing a chance to get that gpu was a good omen and the prices will come down soon. So I'm rubbing my rabbit's foot, holding on to my four leaf clover, while crossing my fingers. Gee maybe a prayer would help too.
