Well, just saw it and I did like it. It has moments that remind me a lot of the original movies (Alien and Aliens) that I grew up with. Good moments of tension and enough background to clearly understand where the final form came from. However, I suspect audiences these days are used to being spoon fed. The twists and turns, very predictable which did detract from the experience. Still, I'm a sucker for close encounters and it is certainly not Game over, game over man! This will lead onto at least one more movie, rumours of two before the Alien timeline takes over. Related to this, I heard the 'new' sequel to Aliens is dead in the water.... So these prequels might be it for good this time. Shame though, I was looking forward to a proper Ripley send off. Thoughts?
