Hello fellow future star citizens! Is it just me, or is min-maxing the main goal for younger gamers today? Or do modern games just push this behavior? Most people seem to play games just to get things done. Nobody plays anymore just to play the game. At that point, you don’t even need an MMO. When social tools in the ‘verse become too good, a lot of the immersion tends to break. Maybe roleplay-inception could help… roleplaying a player who roleplays an adventurer. Meeting players who have information about cool places or market events and saving that information in a personal log sounds much more appealing. The guides people make are usually very, very good, but meeting MrKraken, for example, and having a chat would be top-notch and a thousand times more immersive. Maybe this just needs a different perspective… or maybe this mindset is simply a bit antiquated when it comes to gaming. o7 PeppiX
