I saw this clip on PBS a few months ago and immediately thought about StarCitizen and how it could apply to the world they are creating. Please read or view the sites below before commenting. How could this apply to the resale of ships? When I started buying ships you could only sell or gift a ship just twice. (has that changed?) With the blockchain maybe those restrictions are removed all together. When a ship is sold, for whatever the market deems it's worth RSI gets a cut. Maybe those ships that are extremly rare (lightnings?) could be sold. If you buy a package of ships, maybe we could break down the package and sell duplicates or unwanted ships. Maybe ship game balance can be more achievable. Maybe they only make a certain amount of capital ships, and that's it. Let the market work it out, and the gray market actually is helping raise money rather then competing. This tech may be able to help compensate artists and those who make mods. Wouldn't it cool to create a skin or flair and get paid for it. Maybe that gets sold or traded, and the originator gets a percentage for every time it's sold. Maybe one of a kind pieces of flair get made and sold. How about art and flair auctions? Ship skin auctions? What if there is a real money pay out. Right now $20 is 20K UEE credit. I know this is more accounting then they would want to do, but it would be cool if there was an actual real money pay out on pieces of in game art. I know there are people with a lot more imagination then I have. I would like to hear from you. Maybe we can create an even more beautiful universe
