THIS IS NOT AN AD!!! This is just a rant, as I (and many of us) get annoyed by the "omg, a delay in an update for an ALPHA version, screw RSI, I want my money back!" I don't want to talk about how I fully believe in what Robert and his entire team are doing. I want to talk about another game, Digital Combat Simulator, or DCS World in short. It's a very beautiful, super realistic combat simulator, that will take you hours, weeks and even MONTHS to get anything better than average at flying one of the planes there. They send out emails highlighting updates on development, and one thing that jumped out at me in their most recent one was their CEO giving a small message, on how things take time. It's taking a lot of time to bring in new updates, new maps, etc. One thing stood out the most, here it is word for word copied from the email "For an aircraft like the A-10C, it usually takes about three years of hard work to develop the PFM (professional flight model)". He's talking about one (1) aircraft, to be introduced into an already existing game. Not creating a game fresh out. Not hiring a full team. Not getting funding. Creating one asset, albeit a very complicated one yes, THREE years!! And here we have this game, Star Citizen / Squadron 42, with beautiful graphics, I'm in the PTU wave, it's buggy and slow as hell, but hey I am having a blast just flying into and around the various moons! This game that is so complicated, looking at the complex physics engine, great graphics, various ships, different in-game jobs, and the SCALE (galaxy with systems)... So yeah, I know a lot of us get very pissed off, or just laugh at, the others who voice their opinion, yes fair enough it is an opinion but some do take it a bit further than necessary, I though to give a bit of a comparison on how much time this game is taking and how much time other games take also, when talking about QUALITY. So, you want quality? Then you need to wait, this is requirement, not unique to Star Citizen. Rant over. Sparky2010 over and out, see you in the 'verse
